Welcome to the world to our Irish Fairy Tale litter ♡

{as this is a sample litter timelines have been sped up signifigantly - puppies will be sent to their new homes once they've been claimed & there will likely be no nursery updates on this litter}

It took a couple of attempts before we got a solid tie but we were happy to be informed that the pairing had been a success!

Yasha took some adjusting to carrying, she overall wasn't too happy with having to take it easy towards the end, but so far she has proven to be a great mum! We had no troubles with latching and while we sadly lost the runt during whelping she's been a very attentive mum with a soft touch along with a gentle, though firm, hand when it comes to correcting her little brood.

We were very, very happy to see a good mix of red and black coats along with one very pretty black and rust. The runt we lost was her only Red boy but we still have a decent count of each sex, leaving us with 2 males after the loss and 3 females.

The runts loss looks like it was simply some unfortunate positioning for the little guy, had he managed to come out first we feel like we likely would have been able to save him but coming third in line just didn't quite give our vet the chance to intervene quick enough. We'll be watching Yasha, who thankfully is recovering well, but overall our vet has suggested that as long as she manages to have lower numbered litters in the future she'll likely be just fine and have fewer issues during whelping.

The loss was a first for us though and while it's an outcome that we're well prepared for it was still a big shock for everyone.

We've been keeping a very close eye on the pups, watching out for personalities that are cropping up and have so far been extremely pleased with the results.

There's a decent spread of both parents in all puppies along with some lovely coats, attitudes, and growing drives. We're excited to see how well these pups do in their new homes and are far more confident in a litter between these two down the line.
