Imports & Rehoming Part 3

And last in this bunch of dogs being placed we've got littermates Shatter and Brittle, our 3 year old South American Dobermann!

These two very much had a heavy case of littermate syndrome when they finally came to us and after a long few months of working with our behaviourist it was decided that their bond was a detriment more than anything and we were recommended to rehome them separately.

Both these dogs have been in our care for a bit over a year at this point, Brittle having been homed with a trusted Foster, while Shatter remained on grounds with us as he was the more problematic of the two.

It's been rough, neither enjoyed the separation and it was a long road to get to the point we're at today.

Brittle is sweet and biddable, preferring toys or some roughhousing over treats, and gets along fantastic with other animals and children. She’s got a bit of a mouth on her, keen to make sure you know where she is at all times, but will quiet up when it’s time to work with a happy disposition.

And then we've got Shatter, a sweet boy who is turning into a very well-adjusted dog that after a rocky year we now trust off leash and on, around children, and when being left alone for any length of time. There’s still a bit of troublemaker but at this point we have a feeling that’s more just a character trait and without the destructive behavior following it is very much an enjoyable personality quirk.

Both these pups have found their own homes, separately, and we're excited to see what the future holds for them!
