'Zodiac' Update

The time has come for the 'Zodiac' puppies to head to their new homes, marked by one last off-lead hike with Signe.

Everyone is growing up wonderfully, hitting their weight goals without issue, and bringing in good scores for their Aptitude Test. We're happy with what we're seeing in drive developments and happy to see that all puppies have, in fact, ended up being Feathered - we personally prefer the feathered variety over the smooth so while the chance of a smooth out of this pairing was low it's been lovely to have the longer coats confirmed!

The area they're hiking in is fully fenced off and dog/puppy safe, so no worries there, this is a space that Liten Flod uses frequently while evaluating their dogs drives and ability to refocus. End of the day a sighthound is... well a sighthound, and while the overarching goal Liten Flod has is to make sure to nurture and encourage those natural prey drives they also need to have safe, enclosed, spaces for their dogs.

Everyone is getting more confident at being off-lead and doing lots of really good checking in before running off to explore again.

It's a little bittersweet for us, as the pups heading off to their homes marks the end of our initial contract with Sophie. We're still talking with Signe to figure out what our game plan is but at the moment this does mean that Sophie will likely not be making the trip back to us with the pup we're keeping from the litter.

Which is fine! As much as we'd love to bring her back, overall what's important is where she'll be most happy.
