Von Willebrand's Disease (vWD)
an inherited blood clotting disorder. It's the result of an insufficient amount of von Willebrand factor (vWF), which is a plasma protein that helps blood to clot. vWD can result in excessive, serious bleeding. It is autosomally inherited so it can and should be tested for.

PDK4
a genetic test which tells us the status of just one gene of many that may attribute to Dilated Cardiomyopathy. Results are clear, carrier, or affected. It does not diagnose the dog nor guarantee the inheritance of its offspring, but it is just one more test we can consider in the puzzle piece.
$10.00
Dilated Cardiomyopathy
(DCM1 & DCM2)
a condition in which the heart becomes weakened and enlarged. As a result, the heart cannot pump enough blood to the rest of the body, researchers say there is a 40-50% occurrence in Dobermans and is the #1 killer of this breed.
$70.00
Oculocutaneous Albinism
an inherited condition affecting pigmentation. Affected dogs are born with white or cream coats, pale eye colour, and pink nose leather, lips, and eye rims.

Dogs affected by this should not, under any circumstances, be bred.
$10.00
Coat Colour and Trait
identify the colour genotype of dog and bitch to more accurately predict the colours of future offspring.

Breeders, especially, can use typing as a tool to more effectively manage mating patterns and help them make to make more informed decisions about pairings.
$70.00
Hip Dysplasia
an abnormal formation of the hip socket that, in its more severe form, can eventually cause crippling lameness and painful arthritis of the joints. It is a genetic (polygenic) trait that is affected by environmental factors. The Doberman, being an athletic-active-large enough-size-breed with hip dysplasia too common of an occurrence, needs screened for this condition.
$15.00
Hypothyrodisim
the thyroid gland is not producing enough hormone to adequately maintain the dog's metabolism. It is easily treated with thyroid replacement pills on a daily basis. Every cell in the body is affected by the thyroid so it is important that it be properly functioning.
$30.00
DVDob/Dings
a test created by "Project Dogs" to test for inherited vestibular deafness gene.
$5.00
Narcolepsy
(Doberman Pinscher Type)
dogs with the inherited form of narcolepsy typically present between one to six months of age with an inability to stay awake for extended periods of time and episodes of collapses following positive stimulation such as food or play.
$5.00
Puppy Boosters
boosters include Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus, and Corna that should be re-administered by owners personal veterinarians until puppies are 12 months of age.

Leptospirosis will be administered based on location.
$150.00
Elbow Dysplasia
a polygenetic disease in the elbow of dogs, similar to the hips. It can eventually lead to crippling lameness and painful arthritis of the joints. It is not as critical of a screening compared to the hips, but since the test is available breeders are encouraged to include it.
$15.00
Progressive Retinal Atrophy
an inherited eye condition in Dobermans. Clinically, visual acuity is diminished, first at dusk, later in daylight. The disease progresses over months or years, to complete blindness.
$5.00
Kidney/Liver Bloodwork
checking current organ function.
$3.00

a skin and coat condition that results in hair los and thinning. CDA is most commonly found in blue and Isabella (fawn) Dobermann.
$5.00
BEAR and MAZE
the Brainstem Auditory Evoked Response (BEAR) test is an electro-diagnostic test used to evaluate your dogs hearing.
