BEHIND THE SCENES​

Founded in 2017, alongside Blue Rivers Kennel, River Rescue started out as primarily a Dobermann rescue that also handled a wide variety of other breeds if necessary.

​

Headed by M. Ward, with the goal to help dogs in need who may have behavioural issues, health concerns or disabilities, or simply need to be re-homed for any number of reasons.

​

After moving onto larger grounds in 2019 and with the decision to rely more on foster homes over housing on-grounds, River Rescue made the move to focusing full-time on Dobermann and purpose-bred dogs with Dobermann content.

 

While still doing what we can to help other breeds and may occasionally see another breed come through the rescue, we overall are the best equipped to handle and the most knowledgable about Dobermann and feel that we're able to be the most beneficial with our focus there.
